SherylStyle (Sheryl Marie Williams) was born in southeast D.C and grew up in its inner city.  One of the oldest of six children in the household, SherylStyle has always had a desire to design.  SherylStyle had a difficult childhood, struggling with the daily pressures and dangers that life dealt.  She escaped from the harsh realities by imagining beautiful, colorful dresses and big hats.  SherylStyle was captivated by the stylish clothes worn by many cartoon & movie characters,  such as ‘Josey and the Pussycats’, ‘Scooby Doo’, and Shirley Temple.
Through her difficult childhood SherylStyle was inspired by her older brother Emmett, who is an abstract artist, and was amazed at his talent.  SherylStyle's brother encouraged her to illustrate her thoughts on paper.  SherylStyle’s fashion “oops!”, when illustrating her fashion hats, is now known as her most famous signature big bloom hats.  SherylStyle cut up everything from pillow cases, sheets, paper, and aluminum foil to portray her fashion visions.  SherylStyle say's “As a child I imagined beautiful clothes to make me feel good.  I design today with that thought still in mind- making clothes that not only look good, but feel good.”  She goes on to say “It is important for my designs to have personality and originality.  I want people to feel inspired by my fashions. It’s like a transformation.” SherylStyle New York is a fashion design company established in 1998.  SherylStyle studied fashion at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, NY and North Carolina Agricultural and State University in North Carolina, receiving her A.S. in Fashion Merchandising  and Buying and B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Design, respectively. Her passion for designing and learning has lead her to train with some of the top designers in the country, such as Norma Kamali, V.F. Jeans Corp/Wringler Jeans, and TAO Freedom of the Body. SherylStyle designs all sizes, 0-26 and caters to everyone, women, men and children.  SherylStyle designs everything from elegant evening gowns, ball gowns, wedding attire, trendy cocktail dresses, and casual wear to name a few.  SherylStyle also offers accessories such as: her most famous signature big bloom hats, handbags and shoes. SherylStyle has established her first fashion house studio, where she houses hundreds of illustrations and fashions she has created over the years.  She offers uniqueness to the fashion industry. Her SherylStyles are sophisticated, very fashion forward, and captivating audiences time and time again.  Her ensembles have proven to be trendy, sexy, and extremely edgy.
